The leak has been isolated to a single customer service line so the watermain is not impacted and only 2 customers will need to have water turned off for the repair.
NO OTHER CUSTOMER ADDRESSES ARE AFFECTED.
On Thursday, June 12, 2025, a residential customer reported a possible water leak on Rt. 33 - Jefferson Highway. Staff reported to the scene, and there did appear to be a leak. On June 13, 2025, Louisa County Water Authority staff will be making repairs on Rte 33- Jefferson Highway. This could be a service line break or a watermain break, we will not know until the site is excavated. If it is a service line break, only the one customer address will be impacted. If it is a watermain break, residents between 1782 and 3380 Jefferson Highway (Rt. 33) will be impacted. Work is scheduled to begin at 7:00 AM on Friday, June 13, 2025. Further updates will be provided as information become available.
