PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE - JUNE 11, 2025

The Louisa County Water Authority Board of Directors will meet and conduct a public hearing at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 in the Louisa County Office Building; Public Meeting Room, Main Floor, 1 Woolfolk Avenue, Louisa, Virginia 23093. The meeting will be in person and the public is encouraged to provide any input for the Public Comment period or Public Hearing either: 1) by signing-up to speak in person; 2) in advance (in writing to Louisa County Water Authority, 23 Loudin Lane, Louisa, Virginia 23093 or by email at pbaughman@louisacounty.gov. All letters and emails will be read into the official record of the meeting).

This rate increase is being considered for operations and maintenance/upgrade needs of our facilities in order to maintain compliance with current and emerging regulations.

Water Base Rate              $27.75       $29.13      Increase of $1.38 for up to 3,000 gallons
Water Over 3,000 gallons  $9.25         $9.71       Increase of $.46 per 1,000 gallons
Sewer Base Rate             $41.07       $43.11       Increase of $2.04 for up to 3,000 gallons
Sewer Over 3,000 gallons  $13.36     $14.37      Increase of $.68 per 1,000 gallons

Wholesale User Rate per 1,000*  $7.18   $7.54  Increase of $.36 per 1,000 gallons

Consecutive public water supply systems shall be entitled to a 22.5% discount off the established retail rate for water as long as their minimum usage exceeds 4.25 million gallons per month. Also known as Wholesale User Rate.
